Music & Me

 😀

Hey guys! Going to be upfront and honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this blogging idea...but there's a first for everything. Anyway, some things about me; I'm a biology major; I have been thinking about other things but not totally sure about them or what I'll even do after graduation, so stay tuned ... I've lived here in Spartanburg my whole life (unfortunately.), I do hope / plan to travel later on and see other places💩. I move around a lot, but somehow I still manage to stay in the Spartanburg area (WHY.), I truly don't think there is anything entertaining around to do, it's not the most aesthetically pleasing and would highly recommend NOT moving here because it sucks. Again! That's my opinion, some of you might love it and I'm all for it. It does have some good areas and I will give that little credit to those areas.

I don't have a background in music at all; I did teach myself how to play things on the piano a few years ago but couldn't do it now even if my life depended on it. I love listening to music though, and I am very open on listening to different genres and music styles, I will listen to almost anything I'm shown (mind you, I said almost.). Huge music advocate, I whole heartedly love it all. Am I interested in learning how to play instruments? absolutely not. I have tried and my brain does not and will not function properly enough to learn a new instrument. But seriously, please suggest new songs in the comments😛

I am not that interesting and I'm not really exactly sure what to put on here to tell people. I like animals? I dream to own horses one day but will it ever happen? probably not, simply because I'm a very busy person and genuinely feel like I would not have the time to properly take care of them. I am a first gen college student, and again I am majoring in bio! I don't really have many classes this semester but I'm not in class, I'm always at work...its horrible😒but anywhooo

And since we are supposed to add  pictures of ourselves,  here is a polaroid of one of my nephews and I 😛 (fun fact, I  have 6 nephews & only 1 niece💔

The actual photo is stuck to my computer now lol

Some music that I would totally recommend

And this go to of mine at the moment! Try Me by James Brown

This type of music just resonates with me and I truly feel it in my soul. Totally recommend this song to everyone, especially if you like "old soul" music. I find it soothing, and the vibe is exactly what I love to be surrounded with

A song that sits with me would have to be Tennessee Whiskey😭
This song resonates with me and has throughout my whole life sort of; this would always be a go to song at certain family events. Its always been a nostalgic song to me and I feel like this song in specific also resonates with others as well because it is very well known around

Music that isn't really my cup of tea; literally ANYTHING by Nba youngboy
This can be very controversial...but I am an  avid HATER of this man's music. I can't really explain why, but I just don't like it and don't think it's the best music to listen to everrrr...it just isn't the type of music I'd listen to. I definitely listen to the genre, but him and his music are an absolute no go

  1. Hi Abigail, I love your go-to song, Try Me by James Brown! The song is really beautifully made and I can see why it resonates with you. I find it relatable when you mentioned that you don’t connect with Nba Youngboys music. Despite him being popular among our generation, I also can’t seem to connect with his music.

  2. Hey Abigail! Your honestly in this post is amazing, and honestly, it makes for a fun read. Spartanburg sounds like a huge part of ur life, but at least you have big travel plans for the future! Also, being a first-gen college student is a huge accomplishment.
I love your music taste! James Brown is a legend even in Spain, and Try Me such a classic. I've never heard about Tennessee Whiskey but I really enjoyed it. As for Young Boy, I respect the bold take. Music is so personal!
