Music and Family

Hey guys! For this blog, I didn't get to interview an immediate family member but I was able to speak with a close family friend/relative who meets the age requirement for it๐Ÿ˜† I was unsure how exactly I wanted to format this blog, and I have decided that I would just tell it as a story... Firstly, I interviewed a woman named Anna, I won't disclose her age out of respect and she grew up in the 1970s-90s. Talking to Anna, I asked her things such as what music groups she listened to, what kind of devices would she use to play music and if her music taste has changed over the years--- Growing up, Anna talked about her 2 favorite artists, which consists of Bob Marley, and The Backstreet Boys. I personally thought that the 2 completely different styles were very interesting. In her teenage years themselves, she would always listen to the backstreet boys! Bob Marley was also someone she loved listening to, only when she wasn't listening to tbsb.. As for others who grew up listen...

Music and Tradition

Personally, I don't necessarily think I have any music traditions. Other than the annual Christmas music that comes from the same playlists every year, and the playlist of Hispanic party music that you'll find my cousins playing every weekend...there aren't really any songs or a type of music that I use as a part of a tradition. In my first blog, I mention that I'm a huge listener of soul music! along with the blues, jazz, R&B and music of that sort. Music in this genre give me a very positive feeling even though it may be very melancholy; but I personally find comfort in the way the music is sung, and I love the aura the music gives off.  Starting with the traditional Christm...

Music & Me

๐Ÿ˜€ Hey guys! Going to be upfront and honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this blogging idea...but there's a first for everything. Anyway, some things about me; I'm a biology major; I have been thinking about other things but not totally sure about them or what I'll even do after graduation, so stay tuned ... I've lived here in Spartanburg my whole life (unfortunately.), I do hope / plan to travel later on and see other places๐Ÿ’ฉ. I move around a lot, but somehow I still manage to stay in the Spartanburg area (WHY.), I truly don't think there is anything entertaining around to do, it's not the most aesthetically pleasing and would highly recommend NOT moving here because it sucks. Again! That's my opinion, some of you might love it and I'm all for it. It does have some good areas and I will give that little credit to those areas. I don't have a background in music at all; I did teach myself how to play things on the piano a few years ago but cou...
